Clump Tinola

Clump Tinola is a hearty Filipino soup featuring shell simmered with green papaya or chayote, malunggay (moringa) leaves, and ginger-infused broth. It's a comforting and nourishing dish perfect for a wholesome meal.


Ingredients:

* Shell

* Green papaya or chayote, peeled and sliced

* Malunggay leaves (or substitute spinach if unavailable)

* Onion, chopped

* Garlic, minced

* Ginger, julienned

* Water

* Fish sauce

* Salt and pepper to taste

* Cooking oil

 

Instructions:

Step 1: Sauté Aromatics: Heat oil in a pot, then sauté garlic, onion, and ginger until fragrant.

Step 2: Cook the Shell: Add the Shell

Step 3: Add Liquid: Pour in water, then bring to a boil. Simmer for 20-25 minutes until the shell tender.

Step 4: Add Vegetables: Stir in green papaya or chayote slices and cook until softened.

Step 5: Season: Add fish sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.

Step 6: Finish with Greens: Add malunggay leaves and cook for 1-2 minutes until wilted.
